About János Volkai

The predecessor of today’s TM Janeda Kft., Travers Morgan Kft., was founded in 1990 as a subsidiary of Travers Morgan Ltd. Since 1996, János Volkai has been the owner of the company, and the company’s true start dates from that year. János, the founder of TM Janeda Kft., was a true construction professional, a real engineer who began his career as a technician and contractor. Those years laid the foundation for the broad perspective he could build on throughout his life.

After years in construction, he continued as a designer, first at the Central Research and Design Institute for the Silicate Industry, and from 1984 at ÁÉTV, where he soon became a department head. Later he became the office manager of Travers Morgan’s Hungarian subsidiary, and from 1996, taking over ownership and under the renewed name TM Janeda, he continued his successful work as his own company. Projects he worked on include Eiffel Palace, Millennium City Center, numerous stadiums, residential parks, and well-known institutions. János was a true colleague with whom it was a pleasure to work and think together. Not only was he highly capable professionally, but with his flexible, innovative mindset he could always come up with and recommend something new, both in structural design and in developments in information technology.

The Csonka Pál Medal received in 2013 and the Tierney Clark award where modest but joyful rewards for all this. TM Janeda Kft. strives to enhance the company’s reputation, meet serious professional challenges, and find innovative yet stable solutions for new tasks.
